How much is a website?
I will put explanation here
Why do I have to list my address?
The quick answer is No, but you really should because this is one of the ways search engines like Google can verify you are a real person and if you have a Brick and Morter location it is essential.
This is also a key way that they can verify you are not a spammer or criminal.
Why doesn’t Google allow virtual office and UPS Store addresses on GMB listings?
The reason Google won’t let you use a Post Office Box, virtual office, or mail service address like those from a UPS store has to do with Google listings spam and Google Maps spam, particularly fake listings.
Con artists, black hat SEO consultants, and unethical businesses use virtual office and UPS store addresses to create fake listings or take over another business’ local listing. This practice hurts small businesses and makes it hard for them to rank in local search results.
So what is the answer? What address do I choose as my business address?
Bottom line, for home-based small businesses, when it comes to your Google listing, you need to be honest.
Set up your Google account with your home address and follow their instructions for service-area businesses.
Why Do I Need A Website?
If you do a Google search for “why do you need a website” as of today it returned About 4,650,000,000 results – OMG!
If you have any kind of product or service, the answer is probably yes so we will waste no time on this one.
Because the internet is so incredibly powerful and unlimited as to what you have available to you it can be information overload.
The best quote I ever read, that makes this point perfectly is, “Getting information off the Internet is like taking a drink from a fire hydrant” a quote by Mitchell Kapor.
The typical scenario when someone is trying to make the transition to going online, is they research it to death, and get so much information they can’t move forward.
Here is the best thing you can do to get started.
The only thing you need to do immediately is top decide what you want to call yourself online like www.paintbrushes.com. Once you find a domain that is available, purchase it immediately! If you change your mind or come up with something better later, fine! You can have as many of these as you want all pointing to the same site. Also, no matter what else you do, this will be the foundation of everything else you will need, and it does not matter if you do the work yourself or hire someone.
One place I use for this is Godaddy because they are usually the cheapest, and I like their tech support, but use anybody you want, it does not matter!
If you are not sure what you would need or do with a website, here are a few things to consider.
It’s the most affordable way for you to tell people who you are and what you do.
Its where people will be looking for your product or service.
It’s the best place for you to answer your customer’s or visitor’s most frequently asked questions.
And finally, you can be sure if you have any competition, they will have a website!
What about updates?
Either I can do all the updates for you, or you can be trained to do it yourself. All sites are set up to make it easy for you to learn and manage this yourself if you choose to.
How can I get my website found?
With the speed of everything on the internet these days, everyone seems to want to just “Flick the switch” and get online. Well, there is much more to consider, if you are really going to be successful with your online campaigns. This information is designed not to overwhelm and confuse you, but educate and prepare you to not set yourself up for failure. If you find this all confusing or just too much, I have put together a list I like to call “Baby Steps to getting online”
In this example, we are going to talk about getting online for someone who sells only 1 thing, wiggly worms.
“Hi, my name is Tiffany and I sell wiggly worms”
“You can find me at www.wigglyworms.com“
Create a web-page about wiggly worms and your web pages must talk about wiggly worms.
Talk about the fact that you sell wiggly worms in places like Youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
“Hi, YouTube! We make wiggly worms, see how we do it, check out our website at www.wigglyworms.com
The more other places that have links that point back to your website talking about how you sell wiggly worms the better.
your business should be listed in as many online directories as possible
“You want as many people talking about what you do and how to find you as possible”
That’s really it!
While this is greatly simplified, it really is that easy to get started. Sometimes people can get bogged down with information overload and not do anything at all, which is the worst thing you can do.
Can you build me an online store?
Yes, I Can. I can even teach you how to run it yourself if you want to.
Do you fix computers?
I sure do. I have been helping people with all kinds of technology for over 35 years and you can find a complete list of “Other Services Here”
Can You Help With Social Media?
You Bet! I also have many creative ways of creating content and tools to help automate these otherwise time-consuming tasks of trying to keep up with all of them.
Who Creates My Content?
When it comes to your product or service, you are the expert and probably should tell us how you would like to best communicate your offerings. That being said, I not only can help you create content for your website but also all of the other online places you need to be, like:
and many others.
Do I need Social Media?
Yes and No. There are tons of “Social Media Networks”, and as you already probably know, that’s where everybody is, and these are all places that will help you to spread the word on what you offer.
These are not required, but I recommend them completely.
What if I don't do video?
Everybody should be on YouTube for a number of reasons. The biggest reason is that Google puts a lot of importance on videos and it helps people find you online. Did you know that when people are looking for something online, that YouTube is actually the second busiest search tool out there, only beaten by Google, who happens to own YouTube?

What about Mobile Sites?
All of our designs are meant to be compatible with all devices out there that people use to find you now. In the old days, you needed to have a separate “Mobile” version of your site. There are however ways to make an actual app that will run natively on a smartphone, but this is usually too costly for most.
